I'm sure that many print buyers would agree that their role can feel pretty lonely sometimes and it's not uncommon to find their own business has little understanding of their skills, expertise or even what they really do.
Buyers often feel that their closest working relationship is actually with their printer as it’s this partnership that keeps delivering the impossible in response to the ever changing demands from the business.
I believe this is where iPPSA can score highly.
Individuals can now belong to a community that not only really understands their working world but brings some well deserved recognition to it. A massive bonus will be access to independent experts and proper training to build on one’s own ability – something that has always been lacking.
Businesses will benefit from buyers who can bring them even greater consistency, quality, visibility, cost benefits and business opportunities. Ultimately I would see iPPSA giving buyers and suppliers the chance to really stand out from the crowd to create a new, widely recognised best practice quality mark for every area of print communication. The best of ethics and expertise? Why not.
